Philips has a new range of LCD monitors on the market, with all models carrying the “Certified for Windows Vista” logo, which apparently means they’re more stable and offer “a superior experience” with a PC running Windows Vista.

According to Philips, the 17-inch (43cm) 170C7 and 170X7, and 19-inch (48cm) 190C7 and 190X7 monitors offer enhanced picture quality for gaming, viewing photos and videos, listening to music or browsing the web. All monitors feature Philips’ ergonomic SmartTouch controls, while the 170X7 and 190X7 monitors also feature Philips’ ‘sailboat’ design.

Multimedia features include SmartImage Lite, which automatically adjusts brightness, contrast, colour saturation and sharpness settings, with the 190X7 also featuring SmartResponse, which allows you to choose from predefined response times optimised for different applications.

Available now, prices range between £155 and £230.
