Russian technology firm Gresso pitches itself very much at the country’s newly rich, with basic technology with a millionaire finish – typified by the new Gresso MP3 players.

If you want the best MP3 player on the market – this isn’t it. But if you want something eye-catching and screaming money, read on. The player is made of 200 year-old African Blackwood and gold and measures just 1.5 inches x 1.5 inches, with a patented coating that’s as hard as diamond.

Four models will be available, with a choice of 18k white or pink gold, each with a disappointing 1GB storage. Saying that, if you buy one of these, it’s likely to be for posing rather than playing your tunes. And the price of that posing starts at £2,000, rising to around £3,300.
