veoh.jpgThe next Tom Cruise? He’s probably on YouTube. By which I mean the popular video-sharing site has plenty of loons leaping on and off furniture. But United Talent Agency thinks the film stars of the future may be lurking online.

And to prove it, the agency – which counts Johnny Depp and Harrison Ford among its roster – has set up a new internet TV channel with YouTube-rival Veoh. The aim is to discover the stars of the future, and sign ’em up early.

Whether this means that in a couple of years’ time cinemas will be showing ‘Chinese Backstreet Boys Lip-Synchers: The Movie’ is anyone’s guess. We can but hope.
