Another new Panasonic model, this time the 7.2 megapixel DMC-FX30 with 5.3x optical zoom, which the company proudly claims is the world’s slimmest digital camera with a 28mm wide-angle lens.

The lens should make it easier to capture a large group of people, or expansive structures and landscapes. And to stop your wide images from being a little shaky, the DMC-FX30 also features an Optical Image Stabiliser (OIS), while Intelligent ISO Control raises the ISO setting and shutter speed when you are snapping moving images for a more defined image.

The DMC-FX30 also features the Venus Engine III for reduced image noise, 1.8-second start-up time, burst shooting mode, high resolution 2.5-inch LCD screen, 21 scene modes, movie mode at 30fps and 27MB of on-board memory.

It should be on sale around March, price to be confirmed.
