fuji_a800.jpgA busy day over at Fujifilm. Following on from the launch of the F40fd comes the FinePix A610 and FinePix A800, both featuring the company’s proprietary Super CCD HR sensor and RP (Real Photo) Processor for sharper, more detailed images with less noise. Both models also feature a 2.5-inch screen with anti-reflective coating and a dual memory card slot for xD-Picture Cards and SD cards.

The FinePix A800 features 8.3 megapixels, selectable sensitivity up to ISO 800 and a 3x optical zoom, whilst the FinePix A610 couples 6.1 megapixels and selectable sensitivity up to ISO 400 with a 3x optical zoom. The Super CCD sensor on both models, with its increased surface area, means more sensitivity to light, enabling faster shutter speeds to help reduce image blur and the need for flash when taking photos in lower light.

Also featured on both models is Fujifilm’s Intelligent Flash system, which analyses the subject and sets power output accordingly. There’s also multiple scene modes, including a new Baby mode for doting parents and a sports mode for improved action shots, plus movie capture on the A800.

The FinePix A610 and FinePix A800 will be available from late February 2007. Pricing announced nearer to launch date.
