Panasonic’s Toughbook range has a competitor for the title of toughest notebook on the block – the Dell Latitude ATG D620.

Designed for use in harsh environments, the Latitude ATG D620 meets military requirements for withstanding vibration, humidity and altitude. It also features a shock-mounted hard drive, spill-resistant keyboard, port covers and high durability paint.

The screen is a 14.1-inch display with ambient light sensor (ALS), glass overlay and anti-reflective coating – 1.5 times brighter than standard notebooks for better viewing in bright outdoor light.

Specifications vary, but prices start from $2499 in the US. No price as yet for the UK, but it should be here in the next few weeks.
