samsung_s850.jpgOur final instalment of new cameras from Samsung features the 8MP S850 and the top-of-the-range S1050 with 10.1 megapixel image sensor.

The S850 has a 2.5-inch LCD screen, 5x optical zoom, Samsung’s Intelligent Face Recognition Technology for improved people snaps, continuous shooting, Auto Macro (automatically adjusting shooting distance and focus) and Wise Manual Focus, which enlarges the centre portion of the image in shooting mode, enabling you to quickly and easily focus on the exact object or spot of your choosing. There’s also scene modes, colour effects, movie mode (20fps) and 20MB of expandable memory.

Again, it features Intelligent Face Recognition and Auto Macro technology, along with the ASR (Advanced Shake Reduction), which boosts your images in lower light. There’s also a 3-inch screen, continuous shooting, scene modes, colour effects, movie mode with image stabilisation (20fps), 45MB of memory and an ergonomic grip.

Both models will hit the shelves in spring 2007, when a price will be confirmed.
