Xdock%20Wireless.jpgYep, you read that right. Creative’s big news at CES has been joining the iPod ecosystem, announcing a range of accessories for Apple’s digital audio player, despite Creative making its own Zen series.

The Xdock Wireless is, as the name would suggest, wireless – capable of streaming music to Creative’s X-Fi wireless receivers around your house. You can also hook the Xdock up to your home cinema system to play videos and music in proper DTS surround-sound.

There’s a supplied wireless remote to operate your iPod when it’s docked, and you can connect other audio sources to the Xdock via a line-in port. I’m also rather taken by the fact that you can broadcast music to all rooms where you have a receiver, or set up zones to turn rooms on or off individually.

It’s looking good, expect proper pricing and release information as soon as Creative announce it.
