casio_fitness.jpgYes, another fitness gadget for the new year. If the Polar F4 watch and heart monitor and the Pedometer with panic alarm and FM radio didn’t suit your needs, how about the Casio PHYS watch?

Like the Polar F4, this is a watch with added fitness tools. It’s everything you’d expect frm a Casio digital watch, with 5 alarms, 1/100 second stopwatch, vibration alert, water resistance up to 50m and a strong “Electro-luminescent” display for clear viewing, along with an autolight switch and afterglow. But it’s also a good monitor of your workout.

As an exercise stopwatch, it can keep both daily and weekly records of your training, including distance, step count, your progress against targets and the calories you’ve used. There’s also graphic indications of your progress and an optional pacer signal to keep you moving consistently.

If you’re up for a bit of jogging, it could be just the thing. Available now for around £40.
