Following on from the Smart Globe and the Cubic Phone, we have more unusual technology from Oregon – this time the DP100 Daylight Projection Clock, which is capable of projecting and illuminating numbers even in bright light.

The DP100 projects the time and indoor temperature on any surface and is also light-source sensitive, adapting to how bright or dark its surroundings are. The projection arm can rotate up to 180 degrees, meaning the time can be viewed from any angle at almost any distance.

By using the ‘projection auto’ mode, the projected image will alternate between time and indoor temperature. And if you have the alarm set and don’t fancy getting up, an 8-minute snooze kicks in with a wave of your hand, using a motion trigger mechanism.

You can pick one up now, priced around £80.
