nuvi660.jpgGarmin has announced that their satellite navigation products can now cover an even greater area of Europe, thanks to their new City Navigator Europe NT version 9.

It gives access to 32 countries throughout both Western and Eastern Europe, including Spain, Andorra, Portugal, Poland, and the Republic of Ireland, plus enhanced Eastern European destinations including major cities in Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

The new product works well with the nüvi range of sat nav equipment. City Navigator Europe NT version 9 contains more than 7 million km of roads and over a million points of interest such as tourist attractions, restaurants and parking information. The map data is provided by NAVTEQ, which is a recognised world leader in premium-quality, highly accurate mapping.

“This latest update gives those who travel to Europe, whether for business or pleasure, a greater confidence to go to places they’ve never been before” says EMEA Cartography Product Manager for Garmin, Laura Tomei. “There are also hundreds of new points of interest, helping you find restaurants, hotels, petrol stations and much more, wherever you go.”

The software will come with new devices, and be available as a DVD, SD or microSD update, probably for around £40.
