dell.jpgDell have announced that they’ve done a deal with Gem Distribution and SouthCoast Distributions to bundle a selection of gaming, ‘edutainment’ (education entertainment), and leisure software with their Inspiron notebooks, Dimension desktops, and XPS systems. The software will also be available to purchase separately.

Though there doesn’t appear to be much detail on exactly what these bundles might contain, they’re touted as containing a minimum of three ‘latest titles’ from ‘leading publishers’.

Dell have been doing their market research and have found that customers want gaming, educational and leisure software as a vital part of their home computing experience. Funny that.

From what Neil Martin, Dell’s software product manager in Europe, has been saying, the software may well include home accountancy and photo editing software, and Dell should be able to offer its customers significant savings over purchasing the software titles separately.
