Traxdata is the latest company to offer SDHC cards, initially as a 4GB card, but with increased capacities promised in the near future.

Traxdata estimate the 4GB card can store more than 1000 six megapixel pictures, or approximately 1 hour 40 minutes MPEG-2 video on the one card. Cards with 8GB, 16GB and 32GB are to follow. Obviously, the new cards are class 2 and not backwards compatible with SD-only devices – so make sure you’ve got a camera or camcorder that takes the cards before you splash out on one.

A price still to be confirmed, more details when we get them.
