First Direct launches online chat service

firstdirect.jpgIn a bid to be more friendly online, First Direct has launched an online chat facility that will allow prospective customers to chat live to a member of staff about the range of banking services on offer, simply by clicking the ‘Web Chat’ button on their web site.

The service will potentially be extended to Internet Banking in the future.

I wonder how tolerant the staff are towards people who want to talk about other things. After all, banking’s not really very exciting, is it…
