A new video sharing website has launched aimed at travellers. Travelistic combines user-generated video content with a variety of professional programming, including exclusive content. It uses Google Maps as a basis for users to find videos of a particular location.
CEO Nicholas Butterworth said “Travel is all about personal connections, and Travelistic connects people by providing them the opportunity to tell their life-changing travel stories through video. We offer a free boarding pass to the best of what’s been shot, allowing like-minded travelers to share where they’ve been and watch where they want to go.”
Professional content includes shows previously available on US cable, including Thirsty Traveller and Get Out! Girls, and the site is adding 100 new videos each week including clips from over 120 Boards of Tourism and other organisations.
Registered users can create their own video travelogues and personalised profile pages. It will also link out to various relevant travel ecommerce sites.
