The Danish court has ordered that European ISP Tele2 block its Danish customers’ access to the controversial AllofMP3.com music download site.

Though AllofMP3.com claims that it’s totally legal because it pays money to a Russian-based society (ROMS) to license its music, that’s not the way many international observers see it.

“AllofMP3 is an illegal service, which cheats artists and producers of millions of kroner every year. With this judicial decision we can, at last, bring one of the most provoking pirate services’ activities in this country to an efficient standstill,” said Jens-Otto Paludan, MD of Universal Music Denmark.

What do you think about this? Is it acceptable for a national court to order that an ISP block an entire nation from accessing a web site, whether or not it’s legal?
