Vonage is trying out another way of tempting you into their cut-price call service, offering a co-branded D-Link VWR wireless broadband router with two phone ports and a Vonage bundle for around £40.

They’re boldly billing it as a complete telecommunications solution in one box. What you actually get is the D-Link VWR, a wireless broadband router with 2 phone ports bundled with the Vonage service. It’s got a built-in 4-port switch to connect wired Ethernet devices, a router so the entire network can securely share a single cable or DSL Internet connection and two standard telephone jacks. And of course, there’s a Vonage starter kit, which they’ll be hoping you use with one of your phone sockets for your calls.

It’s available now, priced at £39.99 after a £20 instant rebate.
