If you make a lot of calls and are basically a cheapskate... you probably don't want to buy a whole new keyboard anyhow. Which begs the question of exactly who the Buffalo USB keyboard and Skype handset is aimed at - but anyhow. It has 13 extra hotkeys, a volume control for the headphone out if you don't want to just use the handset (but not apparently a speakerphone, so that part is a bit puzzling) and the whole shebang goes for about £30.
