In the past week, his first video "first try" has been viewed nearly half-a-million times, received over 6,700 comments and 198 video responses. He’s something of a star, and yet he’s not the soft of person you might imagine would be a hit creator on YouTube.

78-year-old (or maybe 79-year-old) Peter, going by the ID ‘geriatric1927’, has made 7 videos after becoming ‘addicted to YouTube’ and finding it a ‘fascinating place to go to see all the wonderful videos all you young people have produced’

Living alone in the country, he has a love of blues music and motorcycles, and in his first video says "I really am as old as I look, and therefore I think I am in a unique position. What I hope I’ll be able to do is bitch and grumble about life in general from the perspective of an old person who’s been there and done that, and hopefully you will respond in some way by your comments."

So there you go. YouTube spans the generations. See the videos here.
