In the race for USB flash drive supremacy, small is best. And there’s not too many smaller than the JumpDrive Firefly from Lexar, now available in Europe in sizes from 256MB to 4GB.

Each size has its own colour code (red for 256MB; green for 512MB; blue for 1GB; black for 2GB; and white for 4GB version). The 4GB drive can hold up to 4,000 pictures, 65 hours of music and 540 minutes of video. Not bad for something you can stick on a keyring. The drives also come pre-loaded with Google Desktop, Google Toolbar and Picasa software so you can edit photos, find files and search the net wherever you are. Other features include a tethered cap for security and a distinctive blue "tail light" LED that blinks during data transfer, so you know when a transfer job is complete.

The drives are available now, prices start from around £15.
