HP's Summer Collection laptop range

HP seems to have taken the rather strange step of changing its laptop range with the seasons, announcing (a bit late) a summer range of laptops, giving the DV2000 model a glossy black exterior and silver interior.

And as a PC for the fashion-conscious, it’s set up as much as an entertainment centre as a workplace, featuring QuickPlay, which means you can watch your DVDs on the 14.1-inch widescreen display without having to boot up the machine. There’s also two headphone sockets if you happen to be stuck in an enclosed space with a friend, plus a webcam and microphone built into the casing, along with Wi-Fi and the usual memory card slots.

Prices are from £699, dependent on specification.
