Samsung has unveiled a new range of digital cameras, under the name New Vision (NV). Three cameras have been introduced  – the NV7 OPS, NV10 and NV3, with the NV7 OPS and the NV10 featuring Samsung’s "Smart Touch" interface, which allows users to gently touch navigation buttons to call up menu items, manipulate settings, or view pictures.

The NV7 OPS is a 7.2mp camera with 7x optical zoom. It features Optical Picture Stabilisation (OPS) and Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR), along with TV quality MPEG-4 VGA (640×480) 30 fps video recording (including zoom and pause) and a photo gallery function.

The NV10 with 10.1mp camera with 3x zoom and a 2.5inch LCD screen. It also features Advanced Shake Reduction and TV quality MPEG-4 VGA (640×480) 30fps video recording and a virtual dial mode for added convenience in controlling the camera.

The NV3 is a 7.2mp model, but also an MP3 and Portable Multimedia Player (PMP). Crammed into a thin 17.5mm metal body, this hybrid gadget allows you to listen to music via the built-in stereo speakers or included headphones as well as taking snaps. The NV3 also doubles as a digital camcorder with MPEG-4 TVD (720×480) 20fps & VGA (640×480) 30fps, while Auto Gain Control (AGC) technology minimises zoom noise during video recording.

All models should hit the stores in September, with the NV7 OPS selling at £299, the NV10 at £279 and the NV3 at £229.
