Using the built-in web cam in a Vaio should be a bit easier with the news that Sony are embedding WebEx technology into their latest Vaio TX and BX series laptops to encourage users to make greater use of the cameras and microphones built into the body of Vaio laptops.

With one click, all new Vaio owners will be able to use a free WebEx sample web conference which can involve video, synchronised file viewing and can even be used as a remote access and screen sharing tool.

Sony’s latest Vaio models all feature built-in web cams and microphones, making them ideal for a spot of web-conferencing and online collaboration. The first SZ and TX models with the WebEx promotion are already on sale in Europe, with the new BX on sale in the 2nd half of May. The offer is also open to existing Vaio owners – details will be emailed via Sony’s newlsetter to registered users.
