For anyone with a large collection of music stuck on your PC (or with a subscription to a streaming music service) and with a desire to listen to it round the house, the SV1740 Wireless Digital Audio Sender from One for All might well be worth a look.

It can broadcast digital quality audio around your home, direct from your PC and with no cables. Just plug in the USB transmitter to your PC and connect the digital receiver to your audio unit to listen to the music files from your PC on your home stereo. It’s plug ‘n’ play and works with all PC media players.

When plugged into the PC, the USB connection switches off the PC speakers, sending the audio to a connected audio set anywhere up to 30 metres away.  Operating on 2.4GHz, the SV140 has eight CH selectable channels, an auto scan channel receiver, FEC coding and last channel recall.

The first of a ‘Digital Media for Everyone’ (DME) line, the SV1740 is available now for around £80.
