With so many of us looking for a more minimlist lifestyle, the clutter of speaker cabinets is something we can perhaps do without. As an alternative, the Mordaunt-Short Avant Architect in-ceiling and in-wall loudspeaker series might be worth exploring.

The speaker system is designed specifically for installation in ceilings or walls, offering a high quality audio reproduction without intrusive cabinets. It uses the SmartLoc mounting system, which creates a solid foundation, with mechanically derived distortion kept to a minimum. A highly absorbent mounting pad between the speaker assembly and ceiling or wall also reduces any adverse and unwanted noise.

The speakers themselves feature the latest generation CPC (Continuous Profile Cone) mid/bass drivers and use Mordaunt-Short’s 25mm aluminium dome tweeter which gives excellent dynamics and detail over a wide frequency range. And in terms of aesthetics, the speakers blend seamlessly into any environment, thanks to a discreet frame and paintable grille known as Décormatch. Or if you’ve got white decor, you can just use them out of the box.

If you want to go for the minimalist look, the Avant Architect series is available now, check with your local dealer for prices.
