The i-Station brand isn’t new – we covered the first almost two years ago. The company’s been amending the design and functionality ever since and has now unveiled the latest model – the i-Station8.

Logic3 reckons the i-Station8 offers their best sound quality yet, thanks to a new speaker system which combines active subwoofer and bass radiator with eight specially calibrated, Vertical-Line-Array speakers. The system also features a backlit LCD screen to show track information and display commands, along with a remote control, which runs both the i-Station8 and the docked iPod.

In addition, you can display video clips or photos from your iPod video via television-compatible line-outs, synchronise with your PC or Mac via its dock connector port, and can also be used as an external speaker system with devices other than iPods such as MP3 and CD players via its 3.5mm stereo line-in. And of course, it’ll power up your portable player.

It should be available this month, priced at around £100.
