With the new film version just around the corner, what better time could there be for Alienware to introduce a special edition Superman laptop –  the Area-51 Superman Returns Edition Notebook. But it’ll not be around long, limited to just 350.

It comes dressed as the super hero himself, with an "S" shield logo on the top of the blue casing, as well as an exlusive desktop skin of the last son of Krypton. It features a 17-inch display and is powered by an Intel Core Duo processor and Windows Media Center, plus 2MB of memory, the latest ATI Mobility Radeon Graphics card and a maximum storage capacity of 200Gb. There’s also an optical DVD drive and connectivity is via 4x USB, S-video, 4-in-1 memory card reader, along with an express card slot.

Also available is a limited edition dektop PC. Fopr details of that, visit the rather impressive Superman-themed website.

Prices are dependent on specification – but before you rush over to buy one, it doesn’t look like they’ll ship these limited edition beauties to the UK.
