The S6F's wrist-rest and lid are both covered in genuine cowhide, tanned and coloured in either Camel or Dark Chocolate (light or dark brown), then hand-pressed onto the laptop. The company said it's taken great effort to ensure the leather ages gracefully - but with the average life if a laptop probably about 2 years, it's not something I'd worry about.
The machine itself features a 1.6GHz low-voltage dual-core Core Duo L2400 processor, with 1GB of DDR 2 SDRAM, a 100GB hard drive, a multi-format DVD writer and an 11-inch WXGA anti-glare screen. There's also 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet.
Expect to see it in IT stores and some of the more smart high street outlets (Harrods and Selfridges for example) next month, with a price tag of around £1700.
