Over one million players have joined in on the Nintendo DS‘ wireless
gaming service since its launch not all that long ago in November. The
steadily rising number of players has been helped in no small part by
hype generated by the radically redesigned DS Lite, which has just
launched in Japan, and huge game franchises Mario Kart, Tony Hawk’s,
Animal Crossing and Tetris.

In the UK, multiplayer Animal Crossing:
Wild World is due out on the 31st of March and Tetris DS is due out on
the 21st of April. While the hotly anticipated Metroid Prime: Hunters
will be launching Stateside later this month, us Brits will have to
hold out until early may to enjoy it and the added Wi-Fi features it
enables.
