Google lists top searches of 2005

As Jim Morrison once said: "People are strange". A year after the "wardrobe malfunction" of Janet Jackson at the Superbowl and we’re still searching for Michael’s younger sister more than anyone or anything else on the Google search engine, according to a feature on the BBC. Hurricanes, the London bombings and Britney Spears’ pregnancy didn’t come close. The trial of Michael Jackson only made it up to sixth place.

The Xbox 360 flew the flag for gadgets in a celebrity-dominated list, which featured Brad Pitt, American Idol and Anjelina Jolie. The other slots were taken by the two big natural disasters – Huricane Katrina and the Tsunami.
