The making of the Sony BRAVIA ad

Next time you sit down during the Corrie ad break spare a thought for those poor advertising folk who have risked life and limb (well almost) just to give you a few moments of cheap entertainment. Instead of taking the easy route and using computer graphics like everyone else does, the guys behind the Sony BRAVIA ad actually filmed every single frame of the ad over two days – the mad fools. An entire block in San Francisco was closed off and compressed air cannons shot the balls into the air while special earth moving equipment poured thousands more onto the ground. The crew even had to wear protective shields and crash helmets to protect themselves. Who would have thought bouncy balls could be so dangerous? Click here to see how the ad was made.
