There are many occasions when it is preferable to carry a notebook computer that, unlike many laptops, doesn't seriously stretch
the limits of the term 'portable'. Averatec apparently is of the same opinion
and has chosen to seek out a more compact solution to mobile computing coupled with
a decent style.
The Averatec 1050 is pretty distinct with its burgundy
colour and has a slim 26.6 x 20.25 x 2.9 cm set of dimensions, it weighs
in at just 1.6kg. In computing power, its Windows XP operating system is backed
up by 1.1 GHz processor, 512MB RAM and an 80GB hard disk drive, which means it
won't be fastest machine around but should have about enough muscle to cater
for most needs.
