Well this is more like it. Seems like the seers were spot on as the new ultra skinny iPod nano (like the name) is a hybrid between the shuffle and the mini. It uses flash memory comes with either two (£139) or four gig (£179) of storage and has a tasty looking colour screen. The trusty old click wheel is there and naturally it also displays JPEGs and is compatible with iTunes downloads. It is available imminently (ships in three days). The only downer is the rather rubbish fourteen hour battery life – that’ll be less than half the power of the Sony NW-400 series then.
