Sony's latest skinny cam

Sony appears to be milking its ultra skinny, and pretty popular T range of ultra compact cameras for all its worth. The next model to arrive in the UK is the15.3mm thick DSC-T5 which has all the features of its predecessors the T3 and T7 including a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, five mega pixel resolution, 2.5inch LCD monitor and 3x optical zoom. The key difference is a better quality battery which can apparently power the camera to take over 300 images and availability in four ‘autumnal colours’ red, champagne gold, silver and black. The camera also features 32MB of internal memory, though this can be expended via a Memory Stick Duo card and MPEG video capture and playback. It goes on sale in September and we reckon it should retail for around £300.

Doh – just found out that the only version coming to the UK is the silver one. Aaah well.
