Indoor Skydiving Centre opening in the UK

Indoor Skydiving: sounds like a recipe for disaster doesn’t it? But in early October the world’s first indoor skydiving centre is opening in the UK, and I have to admit, it looks kind of cool. Airkix, as it’s called, works by using a massive vertical wind tunnel at just the right speed to ensure a safe and worry free flying experience. Sounds ideal for people who want to experience freefall without that whole pesky ‘jumping out of a plane’ business. The tunnel’s at Xscape at Milton Keyes, and is set to open in early October. A one-hour introduction to flying will cost a very reasonable £38 (or £33 off-peak).
