The world biggest hard drive so far was yesterday announced by Seagate, with the announcement of the 500GB DB35 series.  With a size like that, it’s probably being aimed at digital video freaks, and you can rest easy in the knowledge that the hard drive will be able to hold around 85 hours of hi-def TV. The drive will be available in a standalone firewire or highspeed eSATA enclosure as well as in normal standalone, internal flavour. The drive is set to ship out In summer, although no price has been given yet.
