microsoft to go head-to-head with iTunes

Details are still a little thin on the ground, but microsoft has announced that it is going to start a subscription based music service. The service looks set to run on the same model as the now legitimate Napster, offering unlimited track downloads for a set fee. It’s a fairly good bet that you’ll also see this coming to an Xbox360 near you soon. But is it going to offer any serious competition to iTunes? Maybe, but I have reservations about these subscription services.
