iTunes flogs 50 million in Europe in one year

Looks like Apple‘s iTunes has gone from strength to strength, with the announcement by Apple that the European iTunes store has sold and uploaded over 50 million songs to music fans across Europe. iTunes was launched in the UK, France and Germany in June 2004, and is now available 17 European countries. Worldwide, the Music store has managed to sell a whopping 430 million songs.

I wonder how the new napster is doing in comparison…
