First Bluetooth headset for the iPod and mobiles too

Bluetooth headsets for the iPod sound like a great idea in theory. In practice though they are often huge bulky things with limited battery power so for the moment we are quite prepared to put up with our mini white earbuds.

Still that hasn’t stopped Wi-Gear. Its iMuffs stereo headphones have a neat USP though in that they work with both iPods and Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones. They have a battery life of a fairly reasonable twelve hours and while they are still pretty chunky they are smaller than some of their rival headsets.

The range is 10m and supported protocols are Bluetooth 1.2 A2DP, AVRCP, Handsfree and Headset. The iMuffs work with iPod photo, iPod mini, iPod 2G, 3G, 4G.
