The iCN510 handheld GPS unit isn’t new, but the company’s latest software for it is. The European Premium Edition adds more advanced mapping capabilities to the handset, with detailed street-level navigation for 16 European countries. The handset, which comes with both a colour touchscreen and a remote for controlling the unit, gives turn by turn voice instructions, which includes even the smallest streets in the 16 Euro countries.

Assorted map designs are available to view – including 3D topographical maps, 2D maps and mini-maps. The countries included are Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Points of interest such as petrol stations, hotels and restaurants are marked out for you, which means you can ask the GPS for the nearest filling station, say, and it will give you all the nearest ones. Available from £499.
