Pentax Optio SV
Pentax has announced a number of new cameras recently. It's latest, the Optio SV, is already available in the US and is being launched here with a RRP of around £320. The compact digital camera offers some nice specs, including 5 megapixels and a 5x optical zoom lens. It's small too, weighing 150g and with a thickness of just 28mm with the lens closed. Pentax's 'sliding lens system' is the thing responsible for squeezing the zoom lens into such a small casing. There's a decently-sized 1.8-inch preview screen and a selection of different shooting modes, including a 'super macro' mode', which means you can take pictures from just 30mm away.
