Is this the future of music? Probably not, but it’s an interesting idea nevertheless. Ministry of Sound is launching the world’s first preloaded MP3 player so you don’t even have to go to the trouble of downloading tracks off the net.

Called the Stix, this latest MP3 jobbie includes DanceNation 2004, an album complete with an exclusive re-mix of DJ Sammy’s Sunlight – it will not be available anywhere else. Features on the 128Mb player include blue backlit display, an MBass bass function and earphones. It runs on just one AAA battery and comes with a carrying case for portability.

Available exclusively from Dixons for £99.
