Interesting news from the Beeb which has made a comitment to put its vast archive of TV and radio programmes online. Speaking at the Edinburgh TV festival Director General Greg Dyke said the programmes would be available for free download.
He didn’t however say when this would happen, or how much of the archive would be available. Surely the Beeb isn’t going to offer premium sports footage and top quality original prorgramming for nothing?
